Maureen enjoys drawing anything and everything when it comes to art and design. She wanted to learn more about graphic design, as the art she had done prior was graphic in orientation. Maureen took the WEGD program to learn the skills needed for creating digital drawings, and paintings.
Maureen feels she has gained the skills needed for graphic design since joining the program. She connects her technical skills with the digital arts. “Something I have learned and hadn’t expected was animation and learning the program Animate,” Maureen wants to continue to explore Adobe Animate.
Maureen enjoys eating popcorn while working. She likes to hike and take photos to relax. Maureen is proudest of the ram pump project she completed for the CNC Applied Research and Innovation department. A favourite moment from the WEGD program was seeing the 3D jewelry she designed in sterling silver. Maureen’s ideal dream job would be to work as a graphic artist and illustrator.
